Nicole Williams

Director of Outreach

Nicole is a marine biologist and diversity and inclusion practitioner. Prior to joining our team, Nicole managed the Brown University Science Center for 3 years where she helped restructure and implement peer mentoring programs for persons excluded because of gender, race or ethnicity in STEMM.

In her role as the Director of Outreach, Nicole is responsible for all our outreach activities including managing our gage database, partnerships and more!

Kara Bocher

Manager of International Program Development

Kara is a sociologist, who has worked with regional & international non-profits advancing sustainable livelihoods, economic diversification for women entrepreneurs & community resilience in post disaster contexts. She is fueled by a commitment to break through local and global boundaries by cultivating community and inspiring through authenticity.

As Pods Coordinator, Kara works closely with our global network of local chapters aka Pods, coordinating their activities and ensuring that they reflect our organizational values of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI). 

Paula Astudillo

Director of Fellowship for the Future

Paula (she/her/ella) is a sociologist, organizer and activist who has worked in nonprofit organizations, international and public agencies, while actively participating in social and political movements, in Chile and Michigan. She is passionate about educational equity, gender equity, youth empowerment, environmental justice, and building the popular power of oppressed communities. Before joining 500 Women Scientists, she worked in the Research, Analysis, and Evaluation Office of Detroit Public School Community District.

Anushka Gole

Director of Communications

Anushka is a communications specialist who has helped nonprofit organizations in India and the United States tell their story and grow their audiences over the past decade. Prior to joining the team, she helped lead communications at Feminist Women’s Health Center - a reproductive justice organization in Atlanta, Georgia.

As our Director of Communications, Anushka leads all things communications including our digital media, branding, marketing campaigns, and more! 

Toni Mosley

Manager, Fellowship for the Future

Toni (she/her) grew up infatuated with animals, hoping to follow in the footsteps of Steve Irwin. Once a zookeeper (specializing in operant conditioning training and behavior analysis) she noticed a lack of black & brown voices in the field & decided to dedicate her efforts towards breaking down racial and gender barriers within the community.
