As part of our Science Salons for Puerto Rico campaign, science communication expert Dr. Christine O'Connell led a science communication webinar to get our speakers ready to deliver talks geared towards the general public.
Dr. Christine O'Connell is an Assistant Professor of Communicating Science at the School of Journalism. Prior, she was the Alda Center’s founding Associate Director where she worked to build the Center and its curriculum to international renown. Dr. O'Connell has a BS in Natural Resources from Cornell University and a PhD from Stony Brook in Marine and Atmospheric Sciences. Her science communication research focuses on women in STEM, science advocacy, and environmental communication.
