500 Women Scientists will be Marching on Washington this weekend and all over the country and the world! In 51 cities, 29 states plus DC, and 3 countries (see the full list at the bottom).
For those of you Marching in other cities and countries -we would love to see our 500WomenScientists out on the 21st. Please post your sign and March pictures to the Facebook page or share with us on twitter.
If you are still searching for a March, here is a list of Marches and Sister Marches - those inspired by the Women's March in DC (as compiled by the Women's March DC committee).
As we prepare for the weekend, remember to stay safe and know your rights. Please have a buddy system to keep track of your friends and new friends, and a safe space to meet up if people get separated. We will be sharing our DC safe home information soon.
Important information for the DC March
You can find the 500WS meet-up information here.
Make sure you put the location info in your phone ahead of time as there have been predictions that cell signal may be bad in DC due to the high volume of people and you may not be able to access this site once you are downtown.
- The March will begin at 3rd St SW and Independence at 10am where there will be a three hour rally. We will begin Marching at 1:15 and it is an estimated 1.5 mile March (but the details about the exact distance have not been fully shared by the organizers). For any other questions you have, see the FAQ page.
