We are once again angry and heartbroken at yet another mass shooting, this time in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. We stand with the brave young students who are standing up to say “Enough!”.
Mass shootings are the tip of the iceberg of gun violence in the US. An excellent overview of the scale of the problem here.

The CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) is currently forbidden by federal law from using federal money to “advocate or promote gun control” -- in other words, from carrying out any kind of research into understanding the epidemic of gun control. There is currently a bill -- H.R.1478 - Gun Violence Research Act that will undo this; call your Congressional Representative and advocate for it passage. Allowing scientific research and better data collection into gun violence will help us better understand and respond to this epidemic.
We support the actions led by students against gun violence: The March for Our Lives on March 24 in Washington DC, consider donating to their cause here. Or participate in the National School Walkout on March 14 organized by the Women’s March, link here
