Have you made your voice heard on combating sexual harassment in science?
This is the last week to submit your comments on the National Science Foundation’s proposed new policies to combat sexual harassment in scientific fields! These policies are open for formal comments until May 4, 2018.
Broadly, the specific proposed steps are to require organizations to report any findings of harassment by NSF grant personnel, to establish harassment-free workplaces, and to establish a dedicated a web portal.If you believe that these policies are lacking in any way, or don’t adequately address certain forms of harassment, let the NSF know!
You can submit your comments on these proposed rules here & here are some helpful guidelines on how to submit an effective comment. You may comment on the policies overall, or on specific aspects of the policy, based on your lived experiences or your expertise in these areas.
