Take Action: Get Out the Vote, COVID Edition

This Take Action was put together by the 500 Women Scientists Voter Registration project in Collaboration with VoteFWD. This message is targeted towards United States Residents, we apologize if you have received this message in error.

Thinking about voter registration, turnout, and health at the polls? We’re right there with you! Join 500 Women Scientists by taking concrete to prepare for the 2020 election. Learn about mail-in voting, get yourself and your community registered, and learn what you can do to increase voter turnout!

Take Action:

  1. Get informed with 500 Women Scientists!

Our 2020 team has updated our voter information page to answer your important questions during the ongoing pandemic. Check out our new resources to learn about mail-in voting, volunteering and advocacy opportunities, and tips for healthy voting.

  2. Update Your Registration with When We All Vote!

Make sure your registration is up to date! We’re putting the tools to get registered in your hands so that once you’ve registered, you can empower others in your family, at your school, or in your community. Check out these tools at When We All Vote to get registered!

  3. Write Letters to Voters with Vote Forward!

Writing letters to potential voters is an effective and healthy way to encourage registration and voter turn-out. Take Action by leading a postcard writing campaign as an individual or with your pod. Sign up with our partners at Vote FWD to learn how to obtain postcards, find sample scripts, and get contact information for potential voters. VoteFWD is an evidence-based organization and has demonstrated that reaching out to registered voters right before an election works!
