Take Action Thursday

This week we have a couple of great, easy actions to kick off the New Year! 

  • Find or create a small, dedicated local advocacy group. Why? checkout the Indivisible Guide. You have the greatest influence on the people you elect via town hall or in-person meetings or phone call drives about particular issues. By creating your own local advocacy group you can more quickly coordinate relevant responses. Use the comments section below to coordinate in your own city or send us a message!

  • At 500WS, we have a mission to empower women in science, increase scientific literacy, and advocate for science and equality. We have come across some amazing resources, and would like to suggest that we show support this week with small donations ($5 or more if you can). Here are two options: 

500 Women Scientists is on its way to becoming a powerful organization representing the voices of tens of thousands of women scientists all over the globe. With your gift we can pay for the vital infrastructure we need. Plus, your donations help keep 500WS resources free and open, one less barrier to women in science.
